Staten Island Ferry Trip – New York City
Ready to sail? We are going to take the Staten Island Ferry!
During our trip to New York City, we decided to visit the Staten Island borough. To go there, you can take a ferry from Manhattan to Staten Island. It will take about half an hour to reach Staten Island. During the ride you can enjoy a majestic view of New York Harbor. From the deck of the ferry you will have a wonderful sight of The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. You’ll have the chance to see the skyscrapers of Manhattan and take amazing pictures. One thing more: the boat ride is for free!
Once there, you have to visit the 11 September Memorial. It is just next to the dock, on the waterfront. The Memorial resembles a pair of wings reaching skyward, that frame the skyscrapers of Manhattan where the Twin Towers used to be.
